1. Events Not Triggering: What to Check
If a shipping event didn't send to Klaviyo or Omnisend, work through this checklist. Each item corresponds to a real gate in how Postflows processes events.
1. Is your integration connected?
Go to Dashboard > Integrations and check that Klaviyo or Omnisend shows as connected.
If it's disconnected, reconnect and resend test events to verify the connection is working.
2. Is the event enabled?
Go to Settings > Events and confirm the specific event type is toggled on.
Each of the 8 shipping events can be individually enabled or disabled. If an event is off, Postflows will skip it even when the shipping condition is met.
3. Are order filters blocking it?
Go to Rules > Order Filters and review your active rules.
If you have include rules configured, the order must match at least one for any events to fire. If the order doesn't match, all events for that order are blocked.
Common things to check:
Country filter: is the order's shipping destination in the included list?
Items filter: does the order contain a product that's included or excluded?
Ecomflow filter: is this an Ecomflow-fulfilled order, and is the filter configured correctly?
See Order Filters.
4. Are event filters blocking it?
Go to Rules > Event Filters and check the Proximity filter setting.
If Proximity is enabled (same_country mode), events where the tracking checkpoint country doesn't match the delivery country are dropped. This is common for international shipments where early "In Transit" scans are from the origin country.
See Event Filters.
5. Does the customer have an email address?
Postflows skips events for orders where the customer has no email address. This is uncommon but can happen with phone-only checkout flows.
Check the order in your Shopify admin to confirm the customer record has an email.
6. Does the fulfillment have tracking information?
If a fulfillment was created in Shopify without a tracking number or carrier, Postflows sets the shipment status to "pending tracking" and waits. Events that depend on carrier updates (Shipment In Transit, Out for Delivery, etc.) won't fire until the carrier starts sending scan data.
Check the order detail in Postflows - if the shipment status badge shows "Pending", no carrier tracking info has been received yet.
This can happen when:
The fulfillment was created manually in Shopify without adding a tracking number
The carrier hasn't scanned the package yet after label creation
