3. Syncing Orders

Postflows keeps your order data up to date automatically through real-time syncing via Shopify webhooks.

Real-time sync (automatic)

Once your Shopify store is connected, Postflows automatically receives updates through Shopify webhooks. No configuration is needed.

The following events are captured in real time:

Shopify event

What it does

Order placed

New order is synced to Postflows immediately

Order edited

Changes to an order (items added, removed, or updated) are reflected

Fulfillment created

New fulfillment is synced, including tracking number if available

Fulfillment updated

Tracking updates and fulfillment status changes are synced

Real-time sync starts working as soon as your store is connected. Orders placed before the connection are not synced retroactively.

What order data Postflows stores

For each order, Postflows stores:

  • Order ID and number (e.g. #1001)

  • Customer name, email, and phone number

  • Order total and currency

  • Shipping and billing addresses

  • Line items (product names, SKUs, quantities, prices, images)

  • Fulfillment status and tracking information (carrier, tracking number, tracking URL)

This data is used to populate shipping notification emails sent through Klaviyo or Omnisend.
